Alicia Machado (Yoseph Alicia Machado Fajardo)This is the fourth woman from Venezuela to win the crown of Miss Universe. Alicia Machado was winner in the 1995 edition of the Miss Venezuela represented the state of Yaracuy. While not the favorite, Machado in contramão of all predictions in 1996 won the Miss Universe, celebrated in Las Vegas. Moreover, his compatriot Jacqueline Aguilera, also won the crown of Miss World 1995, marking the second time that Venezuela won the two titles in the world of beauty contests simultaneously.
